River Conditions
In general the upper Jacks Fork above Alley Spring is floatable through the end of May. From Alley Spring down and the Current River are floatable all year. This may vary depending on rainfall received in the area or surrounding areas. Check NPS river gauges for current floating conditions. Remember, you are responsible for your own safety. A good river adventure requires proper planning. While in the area listen to local radio stations for the latest weather. In general, the National Park Service will close the river to canoeing and boating when the river level reaches two feet above normal.
